Igor, affectionately known as Iggy,

is a Slovenian-born winemaker with nearly 20 vintages under his belt. Deep love for wine and vineyards has built gradually over the years. And helping grandfather “Deda” in the vineyard since early childhood has been the foundation for everything that followed.

After his formative years and completion of studies at University he has been refining his craftsmanship while working alongside some of the most prominent wine personalities in the world. In addition to Australian domestic stints at Barossa’s Sons of Eden and Powell&Son, he gained further international knowledge and experience at Domaine Jean-Louis Chave in France’s Rhone Valley, at Jonata in California, and Villa Maria in New Zealand. Each person he worked beside and every place he visited played important and enriching role in his journey called life thus far.

With horizons widely open it’s no surprise he warmly embraces cultural, culinary and vino diversities from all over the world. He is now managing cellar operations at Wine Wise Consulting during the day and producing wines for Iggy brand after-hours. When not in the cellar, he is fulfilling his passion for growing grapes and taking care of long-neglected vineyard in the picturesque Eden Valley.

Timna

is a Slovenian-native and represents the other half of Iggy. She studied Tourism, is a contemporary dance aficionado, a former dancer herself, a yogi, a well-travelled food and wine lover, an endless well of empathy, has got great sense of humour, and is just simply the heart and soul of every party.

She met Igor in Slovenia, of all places. By pure serendipity and after several months of long-distance relationship she joined him in France where love for good food and wine grew even stronger, almost as strong as theirs. Just like Igor, Timna significantly broadened her wine world knowledge during their time at Domaine Jean-Louis Chave where she worked as administrator, a warehouse officer, and spent several hot summer months working in the vineyards.

Upon arrival to Australia Timna had no problem finding a winery position at Chateau Tanunda and later at Penfolds. These days, in addition to having a day-job, she also holds a very important, all-round supportive role at Iggy Wines brand, where her skills, personality and point of view play a vital part.

Woof! I’m Om.

I’m a 4 year old Kelpie X. We all fell in love with each other at very first sight when I was only 6 months old. Timna and Igor admit that they came to see one of my mates in the shelter, but I quickly seduced them, reaching out with my front paws, sliding them gently under the kennel gate when they were passing by. I actually chose them, to be frank, and now, no matter what everyone says, I basically run the show.

Yes, some call me cheeky and full of beans, but I like cuddles and belly rubs just like any other dog. I do like my parents very much. They let me run around in the vineyard and winery which is heaps fun. Ohh boy, I love chasing the ball too! Sometimes I don’t bring it back straight away. Well, I guess I am a bit cheeky after all. Woof, woof!
